Excellent website. Learned more about Scots from your
website than from
any other media I've encountered. You have created a very
well organised
course in Scots. Since I have been out of college 12 years
ago, I have had
a tremendous interest in all languages. Comparative
linguistics has been
a hobby of mine. Every year, I am invited to read from Robbie
Burns at
a Burns' Nicht held in Dallas with Mensa. I am able to mimic
the Scottish
accent, and everyone enjoys my recitation, but I have always
wanted to learn
to speak Scots. I have studied both Gaidhlig and Irish, but I
have had an interest
in Germanic languages as much as Celtic, Latin, Greek and
other Indo-European languages.
I intend to master the Scots tung and be able to surprise
people by conversing in
it and not just reciting Burns from the printed page! Muckle
thanks and fairfaa ye ---

cheerio the nou!
Tomas!

I'm a last year student in Germanic Languages at the
university of Ghent. At this moment I'm writing a short essay
on the Scots Language. I've gone through a lot of sites
containing information about Scots, but this site is really one
of the most comprehensive ones I've encountered. A. J.
Aitken would be very proud. Very nice work !

This is the most completed guide on Scots Language I've
found on the web. It'd be very useful to learn some more
Scots, as I'm really interested on this language. Thank you.
