Just starting to look up my ancestry.
I just wanted to say, "Thank you!" for having this site available. My mom was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland and recently passed away Oct. 6, 2010, at the age of 73. I miss hearing her voice and the words she used to say. I am now a grandmother and was looking up the Scottish word for it, so I can pass on our heritage. She was called, "Gran," and so I wanted something different. Reading the words on this site, I hear my mom's voice in my head. Thank you for the memories!
Ae pit yis on ma ane wab site hope ye dinne mine. guid new year frae Ian
