Wonderful site! More info than most on grammar. Only wish
there were lessons for beginning students.

I have some Scotch-Irish heritage but mostly have just been
drawn by Celtic things. Both Scottish and Irish Gaelic are
very difficult to learn (palatized distinction especially), but
Scots appears to be much simpler and I'm drawn to the
sound and look of it. If there were lessons I could learn it
much easier--and someone to practice it with who knows it
better than I do!

Thoroughly enjoyed your Hawick on the internet evening. Has
Iain added the word 'smout' to your dictionary

Glad to find your site..I am searching for Scotish
Ancestry..and am interested in learning the language..My
mother was born in Port Glasgow and came to the USA when
she was 19 along with my grand-parents who were born and
raised in Scotland..
