I got very interested in Scots having read some poetry by Robert Burns. After that I tried to find any information about that language at the library of the National University of Dniepropetrovsk I was studying but unfortunately I could just find some sentences in the context of the English Linguistics History.I got frustrated. But then my searches in the Net got successed and now I have a fine opportunity to complete my report preparing having such full information avaible.

I was hoping to find a list of Scottish words and or phrases, I just purchased a Shetland Sheepdog and plan on using her for breeding and would like a Scottish name for her. My uncle has passed away and he was the only one in the family that spoke Scottish. We raised these dogs when I was a child and I am just starting to do the same with my family. If you could send me information where I can obtain a list of words or phrases it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Carol Tristain
