Exuse my English but when I was looking up on Germanic 
languages I came across the Scots language. I think it is a 
beautiful language and can read it fairly well and I was 
wondering if anyone would be willing to teach me to speak it 
and write it.

Brilliant site!

Please pardon my English, but if I could trust my Scots in 
writing this, I'd not be needful of asking help.

Is there anybody who might be willing to look over a few 
sentences in Scots in a story of mine, and tell me if they're 
right or not, and if not how I might fix them?  I've tried on LJ, 
but got naught but blather and useless comments from folk 
with no Scots at all.

Great site - i understand most of it but don't have much of an 
imagination so i was wondering if someone could help me - 

With my Young Enterprise Company (a company for young 
people to develop business skills and actually work in a 
company at the same time.)   I am making up 3 different 
Scottish Hampers for Christmas.  (By Scottish Hampers i 
mean all the produce is organic and hand made in Scotland).

One hamper is lots of savoury snacks such as oatcakes, 
salmon, Crab Patty, cheese etc.
The second contains lots of sweet foods to eat with "High 
Tea" such as tablet, honey, marmalade, biscuits and cakes 
etc.
And finally the third is all the products from the two above put 
together. 
Can anyone suggest any Scottish names for these 
hampers? - email me with any suggestions.
