Airt: Looking for someone to help me learn Scots.
I live in Seattle, Washington, USA and I am hoping that someone will take me under their wing to teach me how to speak Scots. I would love to receive an email from anyone who'd be willing to correspond about this. I hope to hear from someone soon. Thanks!

This is really fascinating. I was listening to a Belle and Sebastian record the other day, and my father asked if they were Norwegian because they sounded a little like Norwegians who were really good on English. I remembered vaguely that one of me old english teachers had given some examples on similarities between Scots and Norwegia, I think she said that you said 'braw', which I found very smusing at the time. So... I searced and found. gryce = gris (N) braw = bra (N) bairn = barn (N) steid = sted (N) I have had some wonderful hours reading through almost everything on the page. I cannot remember any of the grammar (and do not dare to test out the grammar here), but it was fun anyway. And you really say 'braw'! Very fascinating.
