hello and keep up the good work!!

Excuse my  English, I have, after looking over your pages
noted quite a number of detractors of "Scottish Language"
from both Scots and non Scots and I would like to make a few
points.

1. There has never as far as I know been a rationalisation
of spelling of the Scottish language.

2. We don't appear to have a reliable and consistent
dictionary of scots.

My last bit (neerly feenished) would you all  think on the
following sentance; "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A SCOTTISH
LANGUAGE"  -- The first seven words in this sentance all
come from the follwing in order of age youngest first....
Old English/Old Frisian and on down to Gothic and before.
The word "scottish" I believe has latin roots.
The word "Language" I believe comes from Latin via Old French.

By the perverse logic of our Scots language detractors 
does this mean that there is no such language as "English"?
